deans office to be located facing anzac parade, less privacy, he will be more easily accessible, rather than being at the top and away, the decision making will be done with a more public face that will not put to much on his status. his room can change in size, with stackable furniture and other things to enhance the usage of the room.
note the size changing will be used to change light quality and spatial requirements of the dean's office. This also allows for better heat and air control, where the room is smaller in winter to keep warm air, also with glass double layering to trap heat, while in summer it can be bigger to allow more air flow as well as release heat out of the room.
Researchers offices will be located above the library, this is a space accessible to them, but can allow students to reach them as well as allow them to access the books. something like their walls being able to open onto a balcony, allows them to have more views of the surrounding, rather than limiting them to a dark damp room. this opening up of space will allow them to use the room as sleeping space in the case that they are working overnight or forget the time. the chair can turn into a bed as well sort of like airplane flatbed seats. These seats will need to be able to move about and adjust, while also facilitating comfort. table should be movable as well as being able to attach to the wall, clicking in.
student study rooms in the library, using a material such as smart glass which can be used to control walls for privacy of study rooms. These study rooms come in a variety of sizes, able to be used as group meeting rooms for projects or individual study rooms.
Student lounges, these lounges are for students to study and relax and chat with friends, these are more open and public and located under the lecture hall. They can also serve as beds for students to sleep in in case they wish.
The school will have no need for computer rooms, but will have personal portable tablets that will be stored within the student's storage lockers located next to the gallery space. these lockers are quite large and can serve as display cabinets for students works like in akihabara
These computers/drawing boards will be the work surface as well as computer that students can use to work on their homework as well as lessons on, rather than relying on whatever computer they own. These tablets will be linked to a server stored on campus. this server will have dedicated processing and rendering for each of the computers. Each computer also has built in technology allowing it to become a 3d holographic display for students. If these do not exist, then let's invest in some. these are elite students.
lecture theatre walls are also smart projectors with the table also serving this purpose allowing students to be more interactive in class.
The building material should comprise
of concrete, aluminum, timber and masonry. Continuing to grow on this is the addition of glass, to create a play of light and shadows like a living creature freely roaming about,
in order to bring additional depth to the
composition. Like a cozy cave, maintaining a
strong sense of connectedness where the dynamic form and light whirl
through the air and intertwine in order to create an
architecture is welcoming to those who inhabit it.
